Blossoms

My eldest child went to Shadforth from the age of 2 and a half to 5 years old. This year he started school at Mosman Public. He has transitioned into “big school” very well and easily.

It is clear that the preparation for school at Shadforth pre-school has helped our son, during quite a disrupted first year of school. We are grateful for the foundation our son received at Shadforth, as it set him up well for the curriculum that Kindy currently follows, along with the unpredictable demands that can be thrown at school children, especially during this pandemic.

We sent our daughter to Shadforth Cottage because we heard it was the best centre for kids to attend before starting school. We were not disappointed. While the staff at all the child care places our kids attended were lovely, we found the Shadforth Cottage educators made extra effort to develop the potential of the children, giving them literacy and numeracy skills while also allowing them time to have fun and socialise. Thanks to Louise and her team at the Shadforth Cottage preschool, we feel our little girl is now ready for school.

After having all three of our children attend Shadforth over the last 6 years or so we will be very sad to leave as their experience there has been wonderful. The carers have been kind, thoughtful and professional in all their dealings with our children. The Shadforth program is both progressive and innovative which has made us very happy as parents.

Shadforth Cottage has been the perfect stepping stone for our daughter before starting primary school. Every day, she’s been happy and stimulated socially as well as mentally, thanks to the outstanding staff and the nurturing environment they create.

We love Shadforth cottage! From the moment you walk in the door you get a sense of the nurturing environment, and the caring, supportive and dedicated staff. From healthy meals and snacks to the individual attention that all the children receive at Shadforth cottage we feel comfortable knowing that our child is in their care.

We couldn’t be happier with our family’s transition to Shadforth Cottage. The warm welcome, dynamic program and happy environment has exceeded our expectations. Archer (eight-months old) loves the team and his new friends, and I’m feeling more comfortable returning to work than I could have ever expected.

Shadforth Cottage has cared for our 3 boys over the past four years and continues to nurture our youngest.

We have found the staff to be exceptional and very professional. Their knowledge of early childhood development, kindness, compassion and provision of nutritional food has encouraged our boys to blossom and feel safe and confident away from their home environment.

Both the daycare and preschool have provided our boys with a vibrant place to learn new skills. The preschool prepared our two eldest boys for school so well that they transitioned to primary school with confidence.

Shadforth Cottage has supported us in our role as parents with open communication and encouragement to ask questions and seek advice from the professional team at the Centre regarding our children. From the administration team to teachers we have found everyone to always be very helpful.

Shadforth Cottage has provided the best care and early childhood education for our children and we could not recommend Shadforth Cottage more highly.
